The Pixel Fold opens like a book. Google says it is thinner than other foldables sold in the markets where it is available, and that its hinge is the most durable of those foldables, based on Google’s own testing. Google also says the phone is not drop proof. Opened, it is 5.8 mm thick, and folded it is 12.1 mm.
